Cayo Costa to T’Ween Waters Marina

Short run today only 19 miles. Wanted to get in early so I could pick up the rental car to go to Ocala and meet my brothers.

Going to leave the Admiral on board the boat while I go play golf with the boys for two days.

Had a great time with Mike and Bobby, played my usual bad golf and had fun seeing friends in Ocala.

Back to the boat on Sunday early then to the Green Flash for dinner. Great place for dinner except lousy service. The food was great. First time riding our new electric scooters at night. Worked out well great lights and hardy any traffic on the roads.

Monday was filled with boat chores, lots of time in the engine room checking everything. Also replace one of the lights on the upper controls, which still didn’t work. I’m guessing the is an in line fuse somewhere which needs to be replaced. That’s for another day. Dinner at the Old Captiva House restaurant, one of my all time favorites. As usual the food was excellent and the service great.

We changed our plans because of the weather, seems like the winds will stay too high for us to leave for the Keys and we can’t just stay where we are. Two weeks of high winds made us decide to head across the state through Lake Okeechobee water way to Stuart on the east coast. We have visited the Keys every year for the last 20 years, so it’s not a huge loss. Heading out tomorrow for the Big “O” water way.
