Navy Pier Marina to Joliet Free Wall
Blues Brothers here we come! Two lock on this journey, first one entering the Chicago River. Not much of a lock, seemed like 6”down, but very cool to be in Chicago on the boat.

Great trip through the city!
The rest of the day in the shipping canal, needless to say it will not be the highlight of the journey. I only got yelled at one time for too large of a boat wake. They should put up signs once in a while. Also a bone head move of hitting the throttles inside of the transmission, felt very foolish, luckily only the Admiral caught the show. At least she didn’t make me walk the plank!
Second lock of the day was a nightmare wait, two and half hours for the commercial barges to get through before we could get down stream. A 60 foot drop once we got to go through
