Bridgeport Marina Orillia, ON
Back at the marina, new prop shaft installed. Maybe we’ll finally get rid of the vibration we have had since leaving the Hinkley yard in Savannah! Both props have been trued up as well.
Test ride this afternoon when the lift truck arrives and off to complete the Trent Severn water way.
New condo in Elkhart is getting closes to being remodeled. All new flooring and paint, both baths are getting updates, and kitchen cabinets have been ordered. No bites on the house so we may have two homes for a while.
Left the marina this morning and the boat was running great, got about 4 miles into the lake and opened it up, then check the dropless. At 2400 rpm they start to leak, at 3000 rpm they were spraying water everywhere. Turned around and went back to the marina. The mechanic was called into to retighten the shaft seals and see if we could get it to seat correctly. This is the only part we didn’t replace. He retighten the seal and off went again. He thinks that it needs to reseat on the new shaft, so off we are going and running the boat at 2,200 rpm no leaks at that speed. We’ll see it after a couple of days if that works. Very nice not to have any vibration when running!
Made it to Lock 43 at Swift Rapids for the night and tried up at the lower wall.

Tomorrow on to the Big Chute railway lock and Port Severn our last locks until south of Chicago.
