Sandy Hook to Jersey City Liberty Landing Marina

Small craft advisory for the next 36 hours, but that’s not stopping us! The commercial boat captain told us as long as we leave really early to cross the Raritan Sound we should be okay. The weather was super snotty, and we sprayed sea water over the Bridge a couple of times, but we pushed across until we could get out of the fetch/wind formed waves. Then under the Veranzo Bridge into the Harbor.

What a cool way to see Lady Liberty and Ellis Island. Lots of pictures below. First Brooklyn then Manhattan then to Jersey City. The marina has great views and a ferry to the city, perfect stop for us. On to the NYC tomorrow. First cleaning the boat and lunch, then naps. We didn’t get much sleep at the Sandy Hook Marina, the “no wake zone” wasn’t adhered to by any boaters…..lots of banging against the dock.
