Tensas River anchorage to Grand Mariner marina Dog River Alabama

We had our first true camping experience only enough power to run the refrigerator in the freezer. We survived, then left at daylight for grand mariner marina south of Mobile, Alabama the inverter batteries continue to power the refrigerator in the freezer and everything made it through OK.

Pulled into the marina and the dock master Bill got us started filling up and asked how we were doing. I explained that I have a generator problem. He responded that he had a mechanic who could take a look at it. Bill was sure the mechanic could fix it. He sent over Joe the mechanic who took everything apart and had us running two hours later had to replace impeller I put in, but everything did work out for the best and I learned that the sea strainer placements is too low below the generator and it won’t prime itself, so it has to be primed manually.

Did boat chores for the rest of the day, cook on the grill and had a great evening
