Liberty Landing Marina to Croton on the Hudson

Got out early to try and miss the rain. As we entered the Hudson River from our marina and there was a tow boat pushing a 200 foot barge up the river we pulled out and who would have guessed his comfortable speed was the same as ours. I finally settled in behind the tug at 6.5 knots. After an hour I was done with following and we pick up speed headed up river. We had an easy travel day, and we able to get into Half Moon Bay Marina in Croton on the Hudson before noon. The rain started about noon and isn’t supposed to stop until Friday.
