Atlantic City to Sandy Hook NJ

Got up early to beat the storms which were supposed to come in the afternoon. Pulled away for the Golden Nugget Farley State Marina at 6:00, I sure some who stay out late gambling weren’t happy with the engine noise.

We had following seas the whole trip which was great for being out in the Atlantic. I pushed the throttles up and averaged about 11 knots for the day, not bad when normal is 8 knots. Just burned a few extra gallons of diesel! The fog set in on land but not on us! Thank you. We had about a hour of rain and the the sun came out. We have now viewed the whole New Jersey coastline from the water.

Arrived offshore at Sandy Hook and the New York City and Brooklyn skylines began to clear from the fog, very cool to see.
