Holly & Rex on the Great Loop

Ship’s Log 03132025

Great day on the water!

Got out of a tight dock with the admiral’s help, the Ear Tec headphones make a big difference.

Jekyll island slip

Headed for our first over night anchorage ran for about a half an hour before a sea fog came in.

Guess it is time to learn how the radar works. We ran about an hour in the fog then the sun broke through. From that we had a nice comfortable run north. A couple of markers that might not be in the proper location.

Not sure how to report that to the Coastal Guard, but we will figure that out.

At Anchor

Made it to our anchorage and got the hook to hold. Settling in for the evening. The no-see-ums are pretty bad, maybe not spend anytime outdoors tonight.

Sunset and moon rise

Had a great evening and very little winds during the night. We got up for the lunar eclipse and ran the generator for a half an hour.
