Sea-Tirement Adventures

The boat is repaired, and we are heading to Atlanta, then to the boat.

Ended up in Atlanta through Thursday doing projects at the kid’s houses. Arrived in New Bern with a car load of stuff for the boat. Hopefully we have not forgotten a bunch.

Began unloading the car on to the boat and on the second trip Holly asked me to turn on the water and hot water heater. Pump turned on but won’t turn off. Couldn’t figure out what was going on, why it wouldn’t stop running, oh shit the electrician knocked a water line off the hot water heater. We now know one of the bilge pumps work!!!

Luckily it was an easy fix and we are dry.

We’ve been working on getting the boat ready to take off, but the weather won’t work with us. Looks like it will be Monday before we can leave. Then we will have three days to get as far south as we can.

02152025 last night we had a nice Valentines dinner and then watch a corny movie, but we are having a great time. Again spent another day prepping to get the boat ready to leave on Monday, Holly’s got the gallery all done. Thank god she good at organization or we be screwed. I wash the boat this afternoon, I keep forgetting how big she is.

Rain for tomorrow with gale force winds, so I will spend the day watching YouTubes on the Simrad and Radar.

We ran the engines today also, all seems good to go. We both are ready to get this show on the intercostal!
